Implementation Planning moves through two decision gates: Architecture, then Build Planning. Your approver confirms each gate.
Gate 02 produces the ERD and architecture decisions. Gate 03 produces the PRD and implementation plan. Together they resolve four areas.
What are we actually building?
Confirm the business and operational outcomes, future-state process, functional requirements, system roles, boundaries, data ownership, and architecture considerations.
How should the implementation be organized?
Define scope, workstreams, dependencies, sequencing, phases, implementation assumptions, and the decisions that must be made during delivery.
Who needs to do what?
Establish internal roles, external capability needs, decision rights, governance, escalation paths, BAU participation, and post-launch ownership.
What is the path to delivery?
Bring the work together into an implementation roadmap with priorities, sequencing, key risks, unresolved decisions, measures of success, and the recommended path into solution delivery.
